PAPER, SCISSOR & GLUE

Yep! That's me wearing a so called "pink maxi dress".
Reminiscing my childhood, I remember to be 3 years when I first discover the world of fashion and art! This discovery was made due to a channel called ´Euronews´ which my father had as his background sound every morning before work.  I remember one day watching the 10 min culture (within the news) and became obsessed!

Comprehending what the narrator spoke about was not exactly a priority as a toddler, but what I recall from those memories are my overly enthusiasm and excitement. All of a sudden I became fascinating with paintings, sculptures, clothes and the high couture garments they showcased.

From that day I started creating pieces with my mother's clothes and her old curtains (which I must say my mother was not thrilled of). When I didn't cut old garments, I let my imagination take its action, hence created several items with paper, colours and glue!  Everything from robots, clocks, sculptures, bags, boats, cars... you name it.
Even though these "masterpieces" didn't quite look as flattering to others eyes, It was still creations that I was proud of.

And then the teenage years hit me... I started to get busy which meant taking shortcuts, moreover didn't bother to waste time. So stead of creating, purchasing was made.

I don't want to make this post too long but I guess what I'm trying to say is this:
Whenever I feel uninspired or a downer, I need to remind myself of who I am. I need to wake up my inner childhood; little Sahara who thought she could create everything with the magic of paper, scissor & glue!
Never let my creativeness fade into oblivion. Never forget that...
